Residential Manager

Salary: £48,000 – £60,000 per year

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated residential manager, to join their new 4 bed home on the outskirts of Reading. Our client is committed to providing outstanding care, as the manager you will be responsible for running all aspects of the home, providing care for the young people and supporting a team of staff. You must satisfy all of the requirements within the regulations. This role will give you an opportunity to play a pivotal role in starting a new home and developing best in class strategic and operational capabilities.

We are looking for someone with:

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or commitment to achieve)
• Able to demonstrate at least 2 years of working in a similar environment
• Senior/Team Leader experience 
• Appropriate knowledge and experience of residential care.
• Sound understanding of relevant legislation; children’s act 1989, care standards act 2000, equalities, H&S, safeguarding
• Have a proven track record in Managing Children’s homes including recent positive Ofsted inspection reports. (Preferred)
• Full, clean UK Driving Licence (Preferred)
• Level 3 Safeguarding; DSL (Preferred)
