My client is looking to recruit a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer for their offices in Northwich Cheshire. The vacancy is a remote role; however, you will be required to attend the office for meetings.
My client is established company within the payment sector and you will be working with the IT technical team. You will gain ownership over a product, so you need to be able to collaborate with Product Managers and bring ideas to the table.
The role requires someone who is can:
* Work in a fast-paced environment
* Implement delivery with minimum technical debt
* Work with complex integration scenarios with multiple device types and technologies
* Take ownership/initiative when required
* Work within a cross functional Team
* Actively involved in Pair Development
* Reviewing Pull Requests
* Leading and being a member of scrum teams
* Acting as Scrum Master for projects
* Ensuring 100% test coverage of all code produced
* Providing Development level diagnosis and bug fix
The candidate should be experienced in some or all of the following:
* Have 5 years commercial development experience with at least 2 years as a Ruby on Rails developer
* Be used to working in TDD/BDD/Agile development team as a developer
* Possess a confident approach to technical solution design by envisaging, documenting, communicating and delivering features
* Design principles (MVVM, MVP)
* Tech Stack: Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Docker, AWS, JavaScript, Angular JS, Heroku
* RESTful WebServices
* Feel comfortable using Git and the HubFlow branching and release paradigm
* Unit testing (e.g. rSpec)
* Familiarity with use of infrastructure as code tools, for example Terraform
* Continuous integration environments (e.g. Github Actions),
* Software Control Management System (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
* Have an advantage if you have experience of our core technology stack: Android, NodeJS
