Senior Physical Characterisation Scientist

Our client, made up of expert scientists, is looking for a Senior Physical Characterisation Scientist to join the team to support its diverse and global customers in leading the way to create a better world.

This is an exciting opportunity if you have a strong physical characterisation background obtained within a pharmaceutical environment. You will be responsible for the technical design and oversight of complex investigative analysis and method development and validation projects, including client communication and presentations together with representing the company at key client/industry events. There may be possible managerial responsibilities too depending on experience.

To succeed you will need a BSc or higher in an analytical, chemical or related scientific field with demonstrated, relevant experience. Demonstrated ability to design and lead complex scientific projects ideally within the pharmaceutical field. Practical, extensive experience with numerous physical characterisation techniques including:

* particle sizing (image and laser diffraction),

* droplet sizing,

* specific surface area,

* XRPD,

* thermal analysis,

* dynamic light scattering,

* nanoparticle tracking analysis,

* zeta-potential,

* dynamic vapour sorption.

would be a distinct advantage, however hands-on, in-depth experience with a minimum of three of the techniques listed and theoretical understanding of others would be considered.
