An Optoelectronic System Engineer / Photonics specialist is required for a development role within a busy and growing organisation.
Working as part of the Product Development team, you will be working primarily within optics / photonics laboratory environment developing and delivering optical wavelength conversion modules and systems for standard products and bespoke applications.
Key responsibilities will be to design and deliver optical systems including seed laser, amplifier, AOM, EOM and wavelength conversion modules, along with the design and delivery of the system electronics/interconnects in the module. Wider functions will be to develop and document production procedures along with to train and review production staff on procedures.
Candidates will likely be Degree qualified, or equivalent experience. You will have industrial experience in building or using high power (>2W) fibreoptic light sources, experience using lasers or laser diodes including relevant electronics and experience of acousto-optic or electro-optic modulators.
