Estates Manager

Salary: £57,283 per year

We have an exciting vacancy for an experienced Estates Manager to join a well established charitable organisation with two sites in Sussex, one in Brighton and one in the Seaford area, therefore a driver with own transport is essential as is previous experience in Estates and Facilities Management preferably from Charity, Education or similar sectors.

The Estates Manager will:

• Work with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure compliance with current legislation and regulations
• Support managers and staff by providing technical advice on Estates and Health and Safety legislation
• Lead, manage and monitor the staffing teams via the management structure
• Produce site wide buildings and equipment condition surveys annually and carry out planned maintenance in line with the planned maintenance plan, and reactive maintenance according to emerging needs
• Ensure that all specialist equipment and resources are effectively managed and ready for use at all times
• Recommend site improvement activity to be undertaken and prepare and manage tenders in relation to estates work
• Carry out additional duties and tasks that may be required within the range of the responsibilities of the post

You’ll need to have proven experience of Estates Management and have a suitable level of achievement within the British Institute of Facilities Management or IWFM, ideally holding or working towards attaining NEBOSH, GRADIOSH or CMIOSH status or similar too.

The role is full time and permanent working 40 hours a week, 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday and offers a salary of £57,283per annum. You will need a full UK driving licence and own transport due to there being two locations that you’ll be responsible for.
