Salary: £43,200 – £45,600 per year
Our client is a well-known manufacturer with a main plant in Burton. They are presently looking to appoint a Mechanical Fitter who, along with the existing team, will ensure that all equipment is operating to the required standard.
General duties are:
- Repair and maintenance of processing machinery
- Diagnosis and fault finding
- Routine maintenance including oil checks, etc
- Carry out repairs using welding of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, fabrication, etc
- Carrying out safe lifting duties using overhead cranes, hoists, etc
- Attending training and development opportunities
In order to carry out this role, it is expected that the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles, with the ability to read complicated schematic drawings.
