Salary: £120 – £156 per hour

We have an immediate vacancy available for an exceptional Operations Director, to join our client, an established Manufacturer, in their ever-expanding business. Our client is looking for an Operations Director who can take their business forward and implement new business changing ideas.

Salary: 60,000 Basic + Annual Bonus + Company Car/ Car Allowance +Private Health + Pension Contribution

Purpose of the role:

As an Operations Director you will be a key member of the Board. You will be responsible for developing and nurturing the company’s vision while driving the business in establishing and achieving its goals. You will lead the daily operations through the Senior Management Team to ensure the continued success and cost efficiency of the business.

Providing outstanding leadership and management, offering direction, challenge & inspiration whilst creating a working environment which encourages teamwork, energy and creativity.

Duties Include:

•Directs, through subordinate management, the planning, management, operation’s, and monitoring of day-to-day activities to achieve the operational targets in compliance with the company’s policies and vision.

•Collaboration with Senior Executive Group members to plan, prioritise and allocate continuous improvement measures.

•Initiate, coordinate and implement optimal operational strategies, policies, and procedures.

•Ensure the most efficient overall organisational structure is recognised and managed to guarantee the most effective output.

•Builds future talent within the organisation so as to create a pool of talent for the current organisation as well as recognising future needs for talent based on changes in the industry.

•Manages, both directly and through subordinates, special projects.

•Effectively manage the relevant financial budget along with headcount to maximize efficiencies.

•Manage and harness both existing and new customer’s expectations.

·Driving a culture of physical and mental & safety throughout the workplace.

Person Specifications:

You will possess significant experience in a similar PVC Manufacturing environment and have expert knowledge of 5SS, Operational management processes, procedures and practices.

You will have strong leadership skills with the ability to get the best from your team within the company’s ‘people driven culture’ and a strategic mindset with an effortless ability to collaborate with others. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to work with and co-ordinate teams and have excellent planning, change and time management capabilities.

You will hold strong judgement and decision-making skills with excellent commercial awareness & Customer focus.
