£30,000 – £33,600 + per annum (depending on experience)

Permanent position

Normal working hours are 35 hours per week, usually Monday – Friday (9am to 5pm) with an hour for lunch.

In a varied and challenging role, you will be assisting with (but not limited to) tasks such as:

• Purchase Ledger
• Invoice entry
• Statement reconciliations
• Making supplier payments
• Issuing Expenses
• Company Credit Cards
• Sales Ledger
• Sales invoice posting
• Chase outstanding debtors
• Customer statements
• Deal with Customer queries
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage the fixed asset register and depreciation journal
• Cover and support for Payroll
• HR documentation
• Insurances and associated paperwork
• Leases
• Telecoms & IT issues
• Agreement review (Supplier and Customer)
• Assist with tender documents

Experience and skills required:

• Relevant previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or finance-related role is required
• Strong organisational skills, a good eye for detail and accuracy
• An enthusiasm for and understanding of, working in a small team but also able to work on his/her own initiative and to prioritise tasks
• Good communication skills and the ability to deal with a wide range of people
• Good numerical and literacy skills (ideally with GCSEs including Maths & English but not essential)
