Footwear Technologist

The Company:
An experienced Footwear Technologist is needed to join a highly successful footwear and accessories supplier to major high street retailers who also have their own brand. Customers include Next, Joules and Cath Kidson.

The Role:
Handling/booking in samples and ensuring these are processed in a timely manner.
Ensuring relevant testing is carried out so all products adhere to retailers standards and comply to legal and industry standards.
Testing/clarification of fabrics.
Working on the development process and attending fit meetings.
Organising documents to ensure savings are made.
Liaising with customers to resolve any queries.
Providing feedback to factories.
Working to critical paths.
Liaising with internal teams.

Skills Required:
A footwear/accessories background is preferable however a garment/fabric background will also be considered.
Working with/to critical paths.
Experience of liaising with overseas factories.
Working knowledge of retailers, legal and industry standards.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your own.
