£26,000 per year (Up to £17k if experienced)
Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm

My client, a leading provider of specialist cabling for all professional and domestic audio and visual applications, is currently looking to bring on board an enthusiastic Trainee Audio/Video Cabling Assistant to work within their busy production department.

Main Duties:
*To terminate and test Audio/Video cables and looms with connectors (Soldering and crimping). To terminate cables as detailed by the department manager and/or deputy manager. Working from job sheets and wiring specifications to achieve a consistent high standard.
*To undertake on-the-job training and to become fully familiar with the technical specifications set by the company
*Also to assemble metal work including panel wiring to set standards and specifications.
*To assist the department manager with other duties when necessary.
*To treat colleagues with respect and work with them in a cooperative manner.
*To ensure compliance with all aspects of policies and procedures within the department and company.
*To adhere to pre-set schedules and timings for the completion of work.
*To keep the department and working area clean, tidy and free of potential hazards.

The successful candidate
*Must have previous soldering experience and a keen interest in this field of work;
*be good with their hands and able to work in a clean, professional environment.
*Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to take information on quickly and accurately.
*To be punctual at all times
*To be able to work alone or part of a team.
*Strong work ethic – dedicated and committed.
