Based in Central Milton Keynes, Retail Merchant Services is the fastest growing and largest independent merchant services provider in the UK. Over 36,000 businesses use our Chip & PIN Terminals every day to process over £2 billion credit & debit card transactions every year.

The purpose of this role is to support/manage the implementation of key business projects. The role will include requirements analysis, development within two disciplines VB.net win forms and ASP.net.

Responsibilities/Job Accountabilities

-Gather project requirements by liaising with the various project stake holders and develop those into development specifications.

-Develop and change new and existing applications using the relevant technology.
Fix and resolve issues within existing developments.

-Create and test applications using automated unit testing and test plans.

-Manage project rollouts and testing phases within the user community

-Work closely with the Operations team and provide support/mentoring.

-Provide feedback to all project stakeholders and department managers in regards to projects.

-Assist the Board of Directors in any other duties / projects as required.
Technical Skill Set

Skills Required

Analytical and strategic approach

Experience using VB.net, must have a commercial knowledge of.net framework (3, 4.0, 4.5), in either the following areas ASP.net or Winforms (both an advantage)
Web services( Rest and SOAP)

ASP.net

XAML (optional)

Entity Framework 6.X

Knowledge of T-SQL and development within a SQL server replication environment.

Knowledge of VBA

Knowledge of Team Foundation Server.
Seasoned in internal project delivery within an end user environment.
Personal Skill Set

Ability to liaise with the various business stakeholders and third parties.

Self-driven and flexible.
