Salary: £30,000 per year

Are you local to Mersea Island, Essex? Do you have experience within engineering, specifically within fabrication? Have you ever operated a press brake? If so, you may be perfect for a sheet metal fabricator role we are currently looking for.

We have an urgent requirement for someone to work as a sheet metal fabricator to operate & set a CNC press brake, punch press & guillotine for an engineering firm local to Mersea.

We are offering a negotiable salary, starting at £30,000+, subject to negotiations depending on the skill level of applicants. Overtime available all at increased rates of pay!

Due to the current order book, we can only consider candidates with previous machining experience, specifically operating a press brake. As well as machining, you may also be asked to assist in the fitting side of the business & will need to be competent in using a variety of hand & power tools such as saws, drills, nail gun etc.

As a sheet metal fabricator, you will be expected to read & work from engineering drawings & cutting lists independently.

Hours of work are 07:00-16:00, Monday-Thursday with an earlier finish on a Friday.

Due to the location of the company, you will need your own form of transport.

This is a permanent position subject to a successful 3-month probation period.
