Mechanical Design Engineer

I am actively working with a leading Manufacturing company in Dorset who are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Engineering department. As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be part of a very diverse group of skilled professionals in a friendly working environment.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will need to be keen and forward thinking. The role will be versatile at times, working closely with the workshop and sales department. The Mechanical Design Engineer will also have a good chance of progression within the role.

Key Responsibilities as an Mechanical Design Engineer:

* Research and development
* Versatility within the role
* Produce Mechanical drawings
* Able to understand engineering principles
* Keen eye for detail
* Forward thinker
* Concept through to final drawings to the customer

Skills and Experience required as an Mechanical Design Engineer:

* AutoCAD or Solidworks
* Industrial Automation knowledge is desirable
* Relevant design and/ or engineering qualifications preferable.
* Competent at producing technical drawings
* Worked to standards ISO9001, ISO14001
* Good attention to detail
* Experience in a manufacturing/ engineering environment preferable
* Mechanical or Design Engineering background preferable
