Senior Building Surveyor or Building Surveyor

Our client is a large multi-disciplinary organisation that encompasses diverse skills and specialities to provide a comprehensive range of professional services to the UK building and construction industry.

They are now looking to recruit a Senior Building Surveyor or Building Surveyor.

This is a new position in an established team of Building Surveyors to work on an expanding portfolio of projects ranging from decent homes work through to multi million pound refurbishment schemes.

The successful applicant will require previous experience of work to existing buildings, with particular experience of housing. Qualifications appropriate to the level of position sought will be required, and RICS is preferred.

The applicant will be based in North Kent will work from our Client’s offices located close to London Bridge.

Requirements:

* You will be a qualified Chartered Building Surveyor with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience gained in the private sector.
* You will lead a small group of surveyors, reporting to a Partner and you will be responsible for the day to day control of a number of schemes from inception to completion.
* Duties will include face to face contact with clients, agreeing work schedules with Contractors, preparing Specification of Works, ensuring Quality Standards are met, preparing valuations and fulfilling all Contract administration roles.
* An in depth knowledge of Party Wall Matters and defects, analysis together with the ability to prepare Excel spreadsheets is essential.
* A knowledge of Partnering Contracts is desirable, but not essential.

Hours: 09.00 – 17.00, Monday to Friday. Attendance at evening resident meetings will also be required from time to time.
Holidays: From 24 days per annum, rising to 30 days depending on length of service
