NQT of Design Technology

Salary: £157.2 – £255.6 per day

Strategy Education are working with a Southend based secondary school who are looking for an NQT of Design Technology to join their thriving department for the new academic year. They are looking for a trainee who has the capacity to inspire, motivate and challenge their students, many of who enjoy Design Technology and take it as an option at keys stage 4.

The successful candidate will be able to teach across the wide DT curriculum and due to the department already have a strong team in place, your area of specialism can be flexible.

Being a training school, there is an excellent NQT programme. You will have a personal learning plan, a mentor and the opportunity to access CPD in your NQT year and beyond. The school are mindful of gaps in training and moving forward will have interventions in place to support teachers and students with any catch up required. Ultimately, they are looking for good, strong classroom practitioners who are willing to continue to learn and inspire.

Based in Southend, the school is accessible by public transport from London and there is also parking available on site.

The appointment will be made on a permanent basis and you will be paid in line with Teachers Pay and conditions.

The successful candidate will be subject to a variety of checks including, eligibility to work in the UK an enhanced DBS and full references including one from your most recent teaching placement.
