Electrical Installation Supervisor

Job Description:

Our client is an engineering principal contractor working within the water industry and part of the Welsh Water AMP6 framework. They are looking for an Electrical Installation Supervisor to work on water and wastewater schemes throughout the region.

The role is to support the project team in coordinating the electrical aspects of projects, including management of subcontract activities. Your main activities will be supervising on-site installation of electrical elements of our projects, operate and carry out routine maintenance of equipment but you will at times be required to assist in the design phase. Liaising with and overseeing suppliers/subcontractors activities is a key aspect of the role. Preparation and understanding of technical reports and documentation, reviewing RAMS is key to this role.

As this is a supervisory role, previous management experience is desirable.

Person Specifications:

You will be a suitably qualified electrical engineer with experience in supervising the installation and commissioning stages of a project, or perhaps you’ve got extensive hands on experience obtained following the completion a time served apprenticeship. Ideally you will have experience in either the process or water industry.

Experience in the waste and clean water industry would be an advantage as well as being environmentally and contractually aware. A full driving licence as well as enthusiasm and a positive attitude are required to fit into our company and contribute to its continued success.

More importantly than experience, the role demands a team player who has the ability to work independently and be a self-starter. You will also need excellent communication skills to be able to understand and deliver our clients’ needs in a vibrant environment.
