PRODUCTION OPERATIVE – INSULATION / ELEMENT WINDING

Tideswell, Derbyshire

My client is a leading manufacturer based on the outskirts of Sheffield.

They have an excellent opportunity for a PRODUCTION OPERATIVE – INSULATION / ELEMENT WINDING to work within a small team in their factory in Tideswell, Derbyshire.

THE ROLE

• To insulate a wide range of furnace chambers and heating elements with various types of insulation materials.
• To form, condition and test element windings to required standards.
• To cast and finish insulation and hearth tiles by use of moulds and mixed cement.
• Use a range of equipment to form, test, condition, cut and shape component parts to size.
• Use of the vacuum forming process to manufacture a variety of parts from ceramic fibres.
• A knowledge of material types and cutting techniques would be preferable, but full in house training can be provided to the right candidate.
• Candidates should also be capable of working on their own initiative and as part of a team.
• Perform other tasks as deemed necessary at the request of the Production Unit Supervisor.

CANDIDATES

• should be used to working in an engineering / manufacturing environment
• Previous experience of machinery operation and cutting techniques is an advantage but not essential as training will be given to the right candidate
• You must be able to work on your own initiate and as part of a team

HOURS

37.5 Hours per week

Monday – Thursday 8.00am – 4.45pm

Friday 8.00am – 12.30pm

With a half hour unpaid lunch break

£26,000 per year depending on experience
