Graduate Draftsperson (Design Engineer/Drawing)
£26,000 – £26,400 + Life insurance + BUPA membership + Profit Related Pay + 25 days holiday + Contribution pension scheme.

Design Engineer required for leading manufacturer who are market leaders in Europe with over 30 + years industry experience.

This position would suit a graduate from a mechanical engineering background, with a year of industry experience. You will experience of 2D and 3D design and ideally have experience using Solidworks (Inventor/Solid Edge considered.) The successful candidate will have worked within a manufacturing environment and have experience inputting BOM data into ERP systems.
The roles itself will sit within a growing design team. You will be responsible for reviewing customers requested and producing layout and assembly drawings. You will then make the necessary changes to product drawings making changes where necessary. You will also play a pivotal part in communicating between the sales, tests and manufacturing team identifying issues within the production process and addressing any technical queries. You will also be responsible for leasing with suppliers and ensuring that all required materials are available, you will then maintain BOM`s from CAD data and input details into an ERP system. Part of your role will also involve generating technical specification and documentation for products.
