Warehouse Operative

Salary: £27,360 per year

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Person for a busy technology company.

The role is on shifts – 4 on 4 off, Days and Nights – 6 to 6

Working within the Operations department performing activities allocated on a daily basis within the areas of warehouse such as Goods In, Picking, Packing, Stock Control, Despatch or Testing dependent upon the shift you are working and day to day volumes. You will also be responsible for processing customer part request outside normal business hours, in a professional and timely manner.

Main Responsibilities

* Ensure that agreed KPI’s are met and deadlines adhered to

* Carry out visual inspection of parts and units to ensure that any damage is assessed and updates are made to the system to record observations

* Test parts and units using a range of diagnostics to ensure that they are in full working order

* Provide technical assistance to ensure that internal and external customer expectations are met

* Update the internal database with parts information

* Check in deliveries and visually inspect incoming items to check that the correct item has been received to the correct quality

* Book in items against PO’s, WO’s and RMA’s ensuring delivery and paperwork match

* Pend query items and liaise with Sales and Purchasing to ensure timely resolution

* Ensure that items are packaged efficiently, and the correct items are place into the box

* Ensure that the packaging machine is operated sensibly and in line with work instructions and health and safety guidelines

* Ensure that picked items match the paperwork

* Ensure that parts are deposited to the correct location

* Ensure that labels are correctly printed for picked parts

* Carry out continuous cycle counts to ensure that stock is located accurately

* Solve issues regarding missing cycle, unable to locate and found items

* Locate items to shelves accurately and timely

* Despatch items for delivery ensuring that the item to be shipped matches the paperwork

* Liaise with couriers for special or same day delivery requirements

* Take responsibility for the shift keys and ensure that the building is safe and secure at all times

* Ensure that the working area is clean and tidy at all times and that fire exits are kept clear

* Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines, SSOW, ESD and PPE precautions at all times

* Carry out any such other duties from time to time required by the Company.

The position is based on a 12-hour shift 4×4 shift working pattern alternating between day and night shifts.

You may be required to drive Company vehicles in order to deliver items in the local vicinity or to move stock between locations.
