The Client & Role | Who Are They?

This Continuous Improvement Engineer role is very much suited to individuals who love being in the thick of the manufacturing environment. Right at the heart of the business, from the machine shop, to quality and engineering, this role will be perfect for the hands on, analytical engineer who has the ability to manage short and long-term CI/ lean projects.

SME sized manufacturing and engineering business based in Bolton, just north of Manchester off the M61 are looking for a CI Engineer. This is a great opportunity to work for a growing business, part of a global group, which prides itself on quality and right first time.

Purpose of the Role

You will be heavily involved with identifying potential product/ process improvements across all areas of the business with a keen focus on quality, production and engineering. Some low hanging fruit has naturally been identified and some basic lean systems in place, but this role is crucial in looking at bottleneck issues as well as interaction with staff and creating a lean mentality across the business.

The Candidate | What Are We Looking For?

To be in with a shout, you must have experience of working in a similar role, continuous improvement, lean engineer, process engineer with a proven track record of delivering short and long-term improvements.

Experience of ISO9001:2015 and AS9100 standards are advantageous along with exposure to working in a precision engineering/ machining environment. Six sigma methodology highly advantageous along with a genuine passion and energy to always be thinking outside the box.
