Dementia Support Worker
Location: Flintshire
Salary: £26,000per yearactual per year
Hours: 28 hours per week
Contract type: Fixed Term – contract end date 31st December 2015

Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There will be 850,000 people with dementia in the UK by 2015 with numbers set to rise to over 1 million by 2025.

We are looking for an individual to deliver support, information, and guidance to people with dementia or their carer, family and friends; whether in the client’s home, at service offices, by email, telephone or face to face. The service may include signposting and referrals to other services.

You will possess NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) or demonstrate experience. It is desirable that you have experience of working with statutory and voluntary agencies, and an understanding of people affected by dementia as well as basic IT skills for reporting data.
