El / Pl Claims Handler

FS2 are looking for an experienced EL/PL Claims Handler to work as part of a team in the most efficient manner to achieve business objectives and team targets. Ensuring all work carried out is to a high professional standard
Responsibilities:

• Case ownership – to deal with claim on behalf of a corporate client from beginning to end where appropriate, referring upwards in accordance with licencing levels.
• Manage a portfolio of mainly EL and PL claims.
• Dealing with telephone queries and correspondence within agreed service criteria.
• Dealing with and liaising with insurers, Solicitors, suppliers, unrepresented claimants and clients as appropriate.
• Efficient and effective management of portfolio with excellent attention to detail and pro-active claims handling to include effective use of the diary system.
• Ensure compliance with relevant protocols and legislation.
• Awareness of and compliance with service criteria throughout work.
• Ensure data is captured correctly on the claims systems.
• Attendance at meetings with clients and suppliers as required.
• Ensure personal targets are met and work prioritised effectively.
• Responsible for own personal and professional development and advancement in conjunction with the Team Manager

Essential

• Excellent customer service, organizational & communication skills
• 5 year’s experience of handling Employers and Public Liability claims on a desktop basis
• Have a proven track record in successful portfolio management with a proactive approach to claims negotiation and settlement
• Must be a good team player.

Desirable

• The candidate should ideally hold a Cert CII and progress towards a Diploma or Advanced Diploma would be advantageous.
