Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer

This manufacturing quality engineer role is very much suited to individuals who thrive on being in the thick of the shop floor, always keen and passionate to make improvements, no matter how small and a drive to get things done right first time.

The Client & Role | Who Are They?

SME sized precision engineering business, part of a global group has demonstrated significant growth over the last 3yrs – 30% plus. Yes, this has been a very tough year for all industries but this business has remained positive and over the last few years they have sustained productivity, increased capacity through significant investment and added more great people to the team.

Purpose of the Role

This position will assist in margin improvement as the business grows. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining quality procedures and plans to ensure the highest production yields. This will include identifying quality non-compliance as early as possible in the production process and working with production, engineering and planning to document, resolve and correct issues at root cause.

The Candidate | What Are We Looking For?

To be in with a shout you must have a good grasp of various quality tools, 8D, Ishikawa, 5Y and the like, in an industrial/manufacturing environment – machining, precision engineering or assembly would be advantageous. You must be able to influence, train and coach at all levels and most importantly you must have a strong need to be out on the shop floor. Experience of ISO9001:2015 – completing audits when applicable and experience of maintaining the NCR register ensuring close out of actions to deadlines.
