Salary: £36,000 – £48,000 per year
An award-winning South West turnkey contractor, offering construction and electrical solutions to the retail and property sectors are currently seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor.
About the role:
To be able to reconcile financial problems by working through them in a logical sequence
* To cost control whilst meeting deadlines
* Betterment and attainment of targets
* Setting up of contracts including all sub-contractor documentation
* Agreement of valuation dates/monetary values with client – followed by invoicing of agreed amount
* Contractual correspondence
* Sub-contract payments, agreement of valuations, final accounts
* Cost updates and final accounts issuing to client including costings of identified variations
* Financial responsibility for: weekly labour; fortnightly cost to completion; month end figures; review of cost accruals
About the Candidate:
* Previous knowledge of Shopfitting/interiors industry
* Quantity surveying/Building qualification – ONC/HNC Building Studies or equivalent would be beneficial but not essential
* Ability to communicate professionally with all parties both internally and externally
* Knowledge of computer based cost packages
* To work, both as a valued team member and individually under own initiative
