Profile
*Our client is an established manufacturer of bespoke equipment into specialist industries. After a successful year of sustained growth and substantial contract wins they are looking to supplement their growing engineering team with a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer in order to meet current demands. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior engineer to gain valuable experience within an innovative environment.

Job Role
*Reporting to the design manager and having accountability to the project mechanical leader for the technical development and progress of assigned project tasks; the individual shall work as part of a team and be responsible for the production of product design documentation; against physical and functional performance requirements, including compliance with safety standards.
*The role includes production of parts lists and part data entry into the company MRP database.

Duties
*Proven knowledge and experience of mechanical systems design.
*Previous design experience in relation to structural steel and/or pipe design
*Engineering design and commission of specialised automated machinery from first principles
*Producing detailed design drawings using CAD (Solidworks)
*Conduct/organise design development technical trials and testing where required.
*Able to effectively liaise with production, subcontractors and customers as required.
*Prepared to travel in UK to customer and subcontractor facilities as necessary also to travel abroad if requested
