Warehouse Supervisor (Late Shift)

Direct Workforce is currently working with our well established client to recruit for a Warehouse Supervisor based in Leeds.

Duties and responsibilities:

To provide supervision of the Warehouse and Warehouse Operatives, ensuring stock is managed effectively and to a good quality standard and that excellent customer service is upheld, whilst ensuring warehouse employees work safely and carry out their required duties.

Warehouse Supervision:

* To oversee warehouse operation.
* To prepare delivery routes for goods and to liaise with drivers in doing this
* To be responsible for all paperwork trails, i.e. Company, supplier, contractors etc
* To ensure correct goods are received from suppliers and correct goods are picked ready for dispatch to customers
* Ongoing monitoring of the physical state of the warehouses and yards with regard to clear aisles, accessibility, tidiness, cleanliness and Health & Safety issues and rectification of any problems
* To be responsible for organising outside carriers and couriers for customer deliveries

Stock management/control:

* To ensure that goods are stored logically and safely in correct bin locations
* To notify the Sales Office Supervisor (sales team) of any stock discrepancies for them to action immediately
* To notify the Sales Office Supervisor (sales team) of any slow or non-moving stocks
* To carry out regular stock-checks
* To ensure stock quality is maintained during storage and transport, escalating any issues to the warehouse manager

Health and Safety:

* Lead by example by working to health and safety practices at all times including following safe systems of work, wearing PPE, reporting incidents etc.
* Provide guidance, training and advice to employees to ensure they are working to health and Safety practices escalating any issues or concerns to the Warehouse Manager

General:

* Undertake other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require.
* Carry out all duties in accordance with company employment Policies and individual contractual terms and conditions of employment.

Additional Information:

* Shifts will be Monday – Thursday 13.00 – 22.00, Friday 13.00-21.00
* Salary will be up to £30,000depending on experience
