This is a great opportunity for a Structural CAD Technician to join a busy consultancy in their Blackpool office on a permanent basis. If successful, you would have the chance to work on a variety of interesting residential, commercial and retail projects. This position will involve draughting and designing for traditional materials including timber, steel, masonry and concrete.

To be considered for this role you will:-

Be educated to HNC/HND level in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
Have a minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role with particular focus on working with steel and reinforced concrete (UK experience preferable).
Have demonstrable knowledge of associated structural software (AutoCAD – PDS).
Able to communicate well both in the written form and verbally.
Hold a full valid driving licence.Within this role you will be working on a range of projects from small domestic builds through to large scale commercial projects. Your responsibilities will include:-

Design of steel and reinforced concrete structures with focus on retaining walls and slabs.
Ensuring the delivery outputs meet the clients brief.
Develop engineer’s sketches to produce drawings for structural works.
