Chartered Senior Structural Design Engineer

I am recruiting on behalf of a prestigious – small friendly firm of Consulting Structural Engineers based in Richmond upon Thames, Surrey.

An exceptional opportunity currently exists for a Chartered Engineer to join the team. Our busy workload varies from small domestic projects to multi-million pound new build construction. A lot of our work is to do with altering/extending existing buildings, some of historic interest. Two major National Museums, pension funds and local authorities are amongst our regular clients but also many private individuals.

My client is looking for a Senior Engineer with at least 3 years post Chartered experience.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate a proven ability to run projects and communicate effectively with clients, Architects and other professionals. Preparing fee proposals and monitoring project costs will be an important part of the job.

Workload will range from carrying our structural inspections of buildings and domestic alterations projects through to major commercial refurbishment schemes. On larger projects supervision of other engineers will be required although the successful candidate must also be prepared to produce calculations and drawings themselves when necessary.

Our remuneration package consists of a basic salary which is normally supplemented by significant annual bonuses together with private medical insurance cover.
