Salary: £276 – £300 per day
Setting Out Engineer
Location – West London
à Carry out setting out duties accurately and on time.
à Ensure quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with the customer specification.
à Operate and promote a high standard of health and safety and environmental compliance.
à Support the overall achievement of Perfect Delivery.
à Deliver pre-start briefings.
à Ensure all work is in accordance with the method statement.
à Conduct quality control checks and build records.
à Assist sub agent/section engineer in ensuring all operations are carried out safely.
à Stand in for section engineer when required.
à Monitor compliance with method statements and safety dictates specific to these.
à Read and understand engineering drawings.
à Check operator competence certification if new to task.
à Deliver method statement briefings and risk assessments and ensure all operatives have appropriate training for the task.
à Ensure the works are executed to the quality plan.
à Control the works dimensionally.
à Record the works for the shift and keep diaries, technical and quality records as appropriate.
Experience & knowledge:
à Rail experience
à Minimum 4 years of setting out experience.
à Experience of civils, groundwork’s and reinforced concrete construction.
à Working knowledge of equipment and systems.
à Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills; able to manage projects simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality.
à Good communication skills.
