A very exciting opportunity has arisen due to internal promotion to join a progressive tech company based in West Sussex. Apex8 encompasses a group of companies which deal with the marketing, pricing and purchase of thousands of vehicles every month. We are the fastest growing company in our sector and we have seen rapid growth over the past 5 years.
We focus on lead generation and develop our own products and tools to provide a first-rate user experience and allow us to process over 60,000 enquiries each month. We promote an excellent company culture and working environment with modern offices.
About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated Head of IT to help us maximise company growth. We run a number of bespoke applications which are supported by our in-house development team, and have great relationships with the suppliers of our core infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be technically minded, efficient, extremely organised with a sense of urgency and have a broad knowledge of IT systems and applications. This is very much a hands on role, with the overarching IT strategy set by our Directors.
This role will be based primarily at our Tangmere Head Office but with some adhoc travel to other sites for which you must have your own reliable vehicle, as this may include transporting equipment.
Key responsibilities
Providing onsite and remote technical Desktop & Laptop support to employees
Dealing with arising issues and questions
Ordering, configuring and installing IT equipment
Liaising with suppliers
IT audits
Adhoc project work as directed
You will offer a good understanding of the following
MS 365 admin
Exchange
AWS
Domains & Webhosting
VPN
MS family products including Windows & Office
Mitel Phone system
Networking
Meraki & Cisco·
About you
A passion for technology, solutions focused with the ability to troubleshoot arising issues with minimal support
You like the idea of working in a company experiencing huge growth and making an immediate impact
A team player with a strong work ethic and a good sense of humour
The ability to take direction and provide pro-active updates
Experience of managing multiple tasks at once and the ability to prioritise ad hoc.
Understanding that we are a 7 day week organisation and being prepared to deal with emergencies out of hours.Proven and demonstrable experience of smooth running of IT systems

Working hours Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm
