Head of Academies’ Business Management

The Midland Academies Trust (MAT) operates a number of academies which are sponsored by North Warwickshire and Hinckley College.

The Trust is seeking to recruit an individual to the post of Head of Academies\’ Business Management.

The job purpose will be to develop, implement and maintain a coherent, effective and efficient approach to business management across the MAT academies to support schools improvement and ultimately improving outcomes for young people. The post holder will drive forward an ambitious agenda, managing on a day to day basis with each academy’s business managers and working with the Trust’s central personnel, embed an appropriate shared business management structure and function across the Trust. The structure will reduce duplication, drive
efficiencies and enable greater utilisation of resources to the core business of the Trust.

Accordingly, we are seeking an individual who has:

– Substantial experience in business management/financial administration role
– The ability to plan strategically, effectively and be innovative and proactive
– The ability to develop systems and processes, through a centralised approach
– Good communication skills with the ability to manage and balance a variety of stakeholder requests and aspirations
– Well-developed planning, organisational and budget management skills
– Contract management and experience of procurement of good and services
– A full driving licence, with access to a vehicle to travel across the sites
