Job Title:

Air Lock drivers X 4

HGV 1 Delivery Store Driver

4/4 = £30,426 per annum

5/3 = £32,006 per annum

General dispatch time are between 12:00 – 20:00, we have about 4 exceptions during a week with 3 going out in the morning and 1 at 21:30

Start times would always be 1 hour before dispatch time and we try to keep start times within a 4 hour window for the whole shift

Looking for an average of 10.5 hrs. Per day so there are some 15 hrs. days, about 8 routes a week include a night out

As with any transport company there needs to be flexibility

Shunters X 2, they must hold a class one licence as the job requires them to cross a public road and some times they are required to take loads or part loads out, the shift patterns for these positions are:

4on / 4off alternative ‘days & nights’, 07:00 – 19:00 & 19:00 – 07:00

When they join PAH = £23,638 per year + allowance when on nights (+ potential extra shifts)

Class 1 day drivers X 5, start times can be as early as 02:00 up to 09:00, the work can include store deliveries, Trunking to our 3PL provider at Dunstable & Gloucester, Transfers to our DC at Stoke and Back Hauls from our stock suppliers plus other work

We would pay Industria the same rates as the Air Lock positions above

Background of In 2003 Pets At Home built a distribution centre (DC) in Stoke on Trent. In order to meet our aggressive store-growth plans we opened a second DC in Northampton in 2011, which has the capacity to expand to an operation delivering to 200 stores.

The Distribution Centre, services designated stores with full logistics support covering a geographical area broadly from the East Midlands to the South Coast, providing store fulfillment and reverse logistics. The Stores service is vital and success is measured by on-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery within a ½ hour delivery window. Stores receive around 7 deliveries per week dependent upon store size and sales velocity with 80% of deliveries being made outside of store opening hours.

We now have a fantastic opportunity to work for ‘Pets At Home’ as a Large Goods Vehicle Delivery Driver. The site operates shift patterns over a 24/7 period.

Job Description:

* Reporting to the First Line Transport Managers – Northampton DC, responsible for delivering palletized product to Pets at Home stores.

* Typically delivering 4 to 5 stores per route

* Driving Double Deck Trailers and Truck mounted Fork Lift Trucks to effect delivery.

* Clearing all waste product from the stores in accordance with specified instructions.

* Collecting Backhaul from Suppliers as instructed

* Ensure all Daily Vehicle checks are completed correctly and that Drivers Hours and Tacho regulations are adhered to.

* Driving safely and efficiently at all times, achieving delivery and fuel efficiency targets.

* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and added value.

* Ensure that all site and company legislative processes and procedures are adhered to at all times.

* Responsible for developing a collaborative relationship with Shunters, Warehouse Teams, Airlock Representatives and Store Colleagues.

Scale of the site

* Up to 350 warehouse colleagues

* Up to 30 Drivers and Shunters

* Up to 20 Site Based Airlock Rep colleagues

* 24/7 operation

* Delivery up to 250 stores

* Transport Management team of approximately 6

* Warehouse Management team of approximately 20

* Up to 400,000 and cases 6,000 pallets per week distributed
