Senior Systems Engineer

Our client is a specialist provider of systems, equipment and consultancy services to the UK Defence industry and other critical systems sectors.

We are currently seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join a multi-disciplined team based at their North Devon site.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

– Systems design of a variety of electromechanical systems
– Design and development of complex electro-mechanical and electronic sub-systems
– Liaising with customers, subcontractors, project teams and subject matter experts on issues relating to system design and integration
– Developing and executing systems trials, providing through life systems support
– Providing support to, and work closely with, the Project Manager to ensure that technical requirements are being met
– Providing accurate estimates for engineering work

Experience Required

A general background in systems architecture is desirable and specialist expertise in one or more of the following would be useful: Systems integration, networks & data communications/data management, development of complex systems. You will liaise with Management on estimates to complete and support business development activities within the company.

– Capability to design and develop networked systems and experience in development of systems testing.
– Experience of Systems Integration, bringing complex subsystems together into an integrated system.
– Proven ability to understand and analyse requirements, use of DOORS.
– Ideally have worked in an environment developing equipment/systems for the military
