Location: Salfords, Surrey.

The Company:
We are a market-leading manufacturer of high-quality security inspection solutions that utilise X-ray and gamma-ray imaging and advanced threat identification techniques such as neutron and diffraction analysis. Our products are sold into four market segments: Baggage and Parcel Inspection, Cargo and Vehicle Inspection, Hold Baggage Screening, and People Screening. The company has sold more than 70,000 security and inspection systems world-wide.
We are now looking to recruit a Project Manager.
The Role:
The Project Manager is required to support the activities of the Engineering group with project and general management tasks, to help co-ordinate the work of the group and to assist the Chief Engineer and R & D Project Manager. A particular requirement is to manage supplier development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
The Project Manager shall be responsible for:
1.Project management for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects.
2.Management of external suppliers.
a.Integration of vendor tasks into the overall programme; tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables.
b.Conducting project meetings.
3.General project management within the Engineering group.
a.Project tracking and analysis
b.Managing interfaces to other business units.
4.Liaison to the RTT operations team.
5.Assisting the R&D Project Manager.
Essential Experience:
Project management within an engineering environment.
Experience of New Product Introduction processes in a formal setting.
Microsoft Project and Project Server.
Knowledge, Training and Qualifications:
Candidates should be at least degree qualified in a technical subject. Experience in any of the following areas is a bonus:
X-ray systems.
Cooling systems.
PCB design and manufacture.
Airport baggage handling systems.
Supply chain management.
