If so, we should talk! โ€“ Alphagary, an Orbia business and part of the Polymer Solutions group, is hiring an HR Administrator to be basedย in Melton Mowbray.

In order to be successful in this role, you must be comfortable working onsite full time in Melton Mowbray.

About the role

  • Advise managers and employees on procedures and processes
  • Carry out flexible working requests and maternity review meetings with employees
  • Recruitment and selection process, including liaise with external recruitment services, compilation of job descriptions, scheduling and carrying out interviews, arranging assessments, internal job advertisements, interview scheduling, and candidate response
  • Coordinating the company new starter and leaver processes, including letters and contracts of employment, ensuring that the correct paperwork is provided and received, conducting right to work checks, onboarding activities, and obtaining references
  • Supporting cyclical activities i.e. pay and performance reviews
  • Own probationary process advising managers how to carry our reviews and ensuring documentation is complete
  • Creating, developing and improving standard letters, processes, procedures and ensuring SharePoint site is kept up to date
  • Coordinate training courses, help to identify suitable providers, book the courses and ensure accurate records are kept
  • Support People Business Partners and the wider People Team on project work, and act as a project team member on occasion and as needed for UK, Alphagary Global and Orbia projects, within and outside of the People function
  • Arrange, attend and take minutes at meetings as and when required, and attend as the People Team representative
  • Compile the ad hoc reports for the People Team and analyse data
  • Manage all aspects of the People Team invoice processing, via SAP, to ensure timely payment and accurate financial data

About you

  • A valid driverโ€™s license and vehicle is required to commute to site (as our site is not on a public transport route).
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an HR Administrator
  • Someone who has the hunger and drive to learn and develop as an HR professional
  • Good time management and resilience
  • Is tech savvy and has experience using an HR database/system
  • CIPD Level 3 or working towards a CIPD qualification would be advantageous but not essential
  • Strong IT skills, in particular MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power BI)
  • Up to date knowledge and understanding of HR practices.
  • Knowledge of employee lifecycle
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Accuracy/attention to detail.
  • Have a flexible, team working attitude can work alone or as part of a team
