Role Summary

The role-holder is responsible for the servicing public rooms, cleaning and making deliveries and collections from the seven off-site units. The role-holder also assists in Departments during busy periods.

The role-holder is responsible for monitoring the cleanliness of the public areas, which are cleaned on a daily basis by contract cleaners. The role-holder conducts ad-hoc cleaning as required and replenishes soap and other consumable supplies.

The role-holder prepares the University Centre’s six function rooms by moving the furniture, vacuuming the carpets, polishing mirrors, changing light bulbs and monitoring the temperature and air flow levels of each room.

The role-holder accepts products, makes deliveries to off-sites and assists in other units as required.

Making deliveries and collections of cash, equipment and consumables to offsite units.

Servicing of function rooms including moving the furniture, vacuuming the carpets, polishing mirrors, changing light bulbs and monitoring the temperature and air flow levels.

Setting up and configuring all audio/visual equipment and checking that room meets all health and safety requirements including those for temperature and lighting.

Monitoring the cleanliness of all public areas including the foyer, stairways, corridors, toilets, front external paving and car park areas. Ad-hoc cleaning and replenishing supplies as required.
