Our client is a leading foodservice supplier committed to delivering quality food products direct to the caterer, operating throughout London, Oxfordshire and the South of England
Working at their production site in Aylesford, where they produce fillings from locally sourced products, they currently have an immediate vacancy for a Production Supervisor. The main principal purpose of this position is to lead the manufacturing for the site plants, achieving targeted levels of performance, customer satisfaction and quality.
You will be working alongside a friendly team, supplying caterers and customers with superior handmade fillings that stand out from the competition.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
* To lead, motivate and develop the team to deliver on time, to the required standards and within budget to meet customer allocation requirements.
* You will be managing and sourcing ingredients, PPE, production equipment and daily stocks whilst liaising with internal team.
* You will be maintaining online stock management, labelling software and ensure all input, product ingredient information is correct.
* You will be responsible for producing daily production plan to the required production volume and customer requirements. Thus, operating the production plant in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Ensuring that product is available for supply chain in time and in full.
* You will be responsible for conformity of QM procedures on Non-Conforming Product. To gain authorisation for release of product from the Technical Department. Investigate complaints for root cause and implement corrective and preventative actions.
* Accurately record and follow up actions in order to successfully meet KPIs.
* You will be responsible for continuously challenging and improving the Manufacturing solutions available to the business.
* You will be responsible for leading project works, sales team sample requirements and ensuring the quality of work is excellent.
* You will be responsible for production site safety and managing contractual maintenance work.
* You will be responsible for ensuring all food safety and H&S procedures are completed as required and team members are adhering to it.
* To pro-actively support technical manager maintaining and delivering food safety standards.
