CAD Technician / Designer

Adept Engineering and Manufacturing are recruiting for a 2d Cad Technician for a well established client of our in the Sheffield area.

Reporting to the Design Team Manager, the successful candidate will progress customer orders from technical enquiries through to delivery utilising available resources to ensure quality whilst maximising efficiency.

The role will involve:
* Ensuring all necessary drawings are produced to a good standard
* Issuing designs and drawings for approval
* Preparing clear and accurate manufacturing drawings and schedules
* Maintaining the project files and quality documentation
* Co-ordinating approvals and customers’ instructions to manufacture
* Corresponding with the customer to request information, communicate problems or notify them of key events

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

* Applicants should ideally possess a technical qualification related to the building and construction industry (Civil, Structural, etc.)
* Experience of working in a design office environment.
* It is essential that applicants have knowledge of AutoCAD, are computer literate, with a good telephone manner and good communication skills. The ability to work on a stand-alone basis, as well as part of a team, is also required.

£20,000 – £25,000 dependent on experience.
