General Operative

We are currently recruiting for General Operatives to work in a Logistics team for our Client based in Nottingham.

Operatives will primarily be concerned with the movement of goods and services from one place to another on site in the most efficient way.

Hours are Monday to Sunday, a 08:00-16:00, 10:00-18:00 or 14:00-22:00. Candidates must be flexible with this.

Candidates will be responsible for providing and high quality transportation services around the site as directed, ensuring the safety and well being of patients, staff and visitors at all times. They will also be responsible for ensuring electrical vehicles meet the daily demands of this service.

Candidates will be based at one site, but must have the flexibility with cross-town working when required.

Duties include:

* Collect dirty surgical implements from all wards and departments and deliver to Sterile Services including emergency returns.
* Complete patient confidentiality is required as candidates will be responsible for collecting patient notes.
* Receive all incoming mail – sorting into correct pigeon holes
* Carry out store deliveries to wards and departments as directed my team leaders
* Assist with the delivery of medical gasses and provide a delivery service
* Distributing pharmaceuticals including the safe transportation and delivery for wards and departments for controlled drugs
* Assist patient escort with patient movement as and when required.

Due to the business, candidates will be required to deal with dirty linen, harmful chemicals with the ability to handle unfortunate spills.

Candidates must be polite, well presented and helpful.

Candidates will be required to have a CRB Check, this can be completed within the agency if you do not have one already.
