This is a great opportunity to work for an innovative housing association.

Two Rivers Housing is a progressive and forward-thinking housing association committed to creating great homes and supporting communities. With our strongly held values of customer focus and continuous improvement, we want our customers to be excited by the service we provide and inspired by the quality affordable homes and communities we improve and create.

We are particularly proud to have earned our place in the Sunday Times ‘Top 100 Best Not for Profit Organisations to Work For’ and we have held the Investors in People ‘Gold’ accreditation for several years now. An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Neighbourhood Housing Assistant to supervise our current team covering a maternity leave period of approximately 6-8 months.

In this pivotal role, you will be working with and supervising a successful neighbourhood management service team for vulnerable tenants including a number of sheltered schemes.

Senior Neighbourhood Assistant Duties will include:

• Accompanying prospective tenants to visit the schemes.
• Undertaking tenancy sign ups, periodic follow up visits.
• Regular health and safety inspections of communal properties as well as updating computerised administrative, performance and health and safety statistics.
• Producing reports and complying with company procedures and legislative requirements.

The successful candidate will have a proven background in a similar housing management role, demonstrable experience of people management with good communication skills both verbal and written. Problem solving and negotiating skills, initiative and a ‘can do approach’ are also essential and are highly valued. IT proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential and previous working knowledge of housing databases and/or MIS systems would be a distinct advantage.

You will be based in and around the various communities of the Forest of Dean and therefore require access to transport for work purposes and on occasion, you may be required to be flexible on working hours.

It is highly desirable that you currently hold or are working towards a Housing NVQ (level 3) and/ or a Housing management qualification or equivalent; however, we consider relevant experience and transferable skills to be just as important.
