Systems Analyst

Systems Analyst / Teradata Analyst / Database analst

A Systems analyst with Teradata experience is required for my client based in Essex. (35 mins from Liverpool street). They are looking for someone with a strong background in SQL Server databases as well as a strong solid understanding of Teradata.

Must have skills:

* Good analytical skills including systemic thinking and pragmatic approach to issue resolution

* Ability to work under pressure sometimes to very demanding deadlines
* Good communication and negotiation skills
* A continuous improvement philosophy
* Process discipline
* Structured Query Language (SQL) and database experience (Teradata, DB2, SQL Server)

* Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written communicating both cross functionally and internationally).
* Excellent team working / people skills, durability and flexibility.
* Ability to learn new skills quickly and be a self-starter.

Nice to haves: NOT ESSENTIAL-

* Knowledge of system development lifecycles and exposure to lifecycle development methodologies including USDM.

* Experience working with business customers and global workgroups
* Skills in reviewing and presenting data from multiple points of view
* Ability to create a logical, multi-dimensional and physical data models
* Solid knowledge of FCE business data lifecycles
* Exposure to Business Intelligence reporting tools
* Exposure to the Discovery data analysis tool
* Exposure to Erwin toolset
* Exposure to MS Project toolset
* Exposure to 6 Sigma,Greenbeltcertification preferred
* Exposure to IBM Mainframe
