Senior Component Engineer – Wireless

A globally recognised Telecoms Solution provider who is rapidly scaling up their UK operations is looking for a Senior Component Engineer to be the spearhead in supporting current and new HW design, assisting in component selection and sustaining of innovative Radio products.

As Senior Component Engineer, you will be building a team of 5 within a multi-site, cross-platform development environment as the design authority for technical specifications and design requirements.

Responsibilities for the Senior Component Engineer include:

Developing and ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to within areas of sustainability acquisition managing compliance for components

*

Ensuring development and manufacturing costs can be minimised

*

Create and develop solutions to resolve issues with obsolete components and supplies

*

Conduct component level tests and perform experiments on components

*

Look at market trends and component availability

*

Create and implement component quality improvement plans

*

Administer ECR databases and maintain logs of all requests and assists

*

Build effective relationships with suppliers and manufacturers as the main point of contact for technical and supply discussions

To be considered for the Senior Component Engineer role you must have:

Relative degree (HND/B.S) in Electronics Engineering

*

Track record of working as a Component Engineer in the Wireless Telecoms field

*

Familiarity with Telecoms hardware products

*

Excellent customer/supplier relationship management skills

*

Willingness to travel as and when required globally
