Retail Buyer

Salary: £54,000 – £60,000 per year

RETAIL BUYER

My client is a financially stable, fast-paced and growing Retail business.

They are currently looking for a full-time Buyer to manage one of their key growth categories. The ideal candidate will have strong Buying, Range Management and Trading experience and a keen commercial mind. You will be highly motivated and an approachable hands-on team player who is excited at the prospect of joining a growing company. Key responsibilities will include: –

* Category management from range plan to trading performance

* Grow and maintain sales and margin in line with company strategy and budgets

* Forecast future performance

* Undertake seasonal reviews

* Negotiate the best deals

* Build and maintain excellent working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

* Control inventory to ensure stock levels are correct across stores

* Work closely with marketing to ensure brand support and key messages are landed

* Be ahead of customer trends and behaviours in your category

Key skills:

* Influence and communicate effectively at all levels

* Manage and train a team

* Perform under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

* Have excellent Microsoft Office skills
