One of the UK’s largest general insurers is looking to expand their commercial underwriting team in West Yorkshire.
The Role
The role will require you to write new (and to a lesser degree renewal) business by building and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of large Yorkshire market broker clients in order to enhance the offices reputation in the region.
Cases will cover most major commercial risks with premiums typically up to £100k, so you will be required to maintain technical proficiency across a range of commercial insurance products. You will make key underwriting decisions and, by liaising with Brokers, secure business deals.

The Person
You will come from a general commercial insurance underwriting background and will preferably have had exposure to a sales office where you have been able to demonstrate an aptitude for trading and an ability to hit challenging targets.
You will be customer focussed and well as personable, outgoing and confident with industry qualifications (or a desire to work towards) a big plus.
