Manufacturing Accountant

Based on the M62/A63 Corridor, my client is a recognised PLC brand manufacturer with a reputation for product and price excellence. With anticipated double digit growth over the next 3 years the need has arisen to recruit an experience Manufacturing Accountant.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Finance Manager you will be the primary financial support to the manufacturing site, providing key financial information and enabling the business to track progress against targets.
Duties & responsibilities:
You will complete period end journals to ensure the P&L is accurate, act as the key contact/support for the managers by providing accurate, timely, user friendly reporting and adhoc analysis.Review, analyse and issue weekly flash reports for labour and material usage for the site, complete with appropriate commentary.Prepare operational budgets & forecasts for manufacturing cost centres, with detailed explanation of key drivers against prior year/version for review with the Manufacturing Finance Manager.Product costing, specifically responsible for the costing of all new worktops. This includes the preparation of cost estimates, as well as maintaining the standard product costs within SAP. Production of periodic stock provision report.Ad Hoc project work to support business decisions. Deputise for Manufacturing Finance Manager when required.

You will be a qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA or CIMA or Qualified by experience with previous experience in a similar manufacturing environment. Strong Management Accounting experience is essential as well as the ability to demonstrate a strong business partnering background. You will be a highly motivated individual with a natural curiosity and ability to learn.
