I am currently working as the Human Resources and Payroll Manager at Genesis Supply Chain Services in Gauteng, South Africa. In this position I am responsible for the entire payroll process. This entails checking and capturing hours of employees as well as dealing with any queries, problems, or questions. I also implemented and currently run the Stores / Inventory department of the company. I helped start and run the Ronnie Moodley Foundation which gives back to employees of the company by selecting one employee and paying for their child’s school fees for a year. I also represent the company during formal hearings.
Moreover, I act as the company’s front office employee as I am the first point of contact for walk-in guests as well as when the phones ring. I am responsible for greeting and making guests feel comfortable to enter the premises. I am also responsible for answering the phone and assisting the person on the other side of the line, whether that be answering their questions and queries or redirecting them to the person whom they wish to speak to.
Furthermore, I have taken on the duties and responsibilities of the Receiving and Dispatching department, by ensuring that stock is correctly checked and recorded as well as ensuring that the necessary and correct paperwork is filled out.
I was assigned the duties and responsibilities of the Account Manager for British American Tabacco. I had open and honest communication with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction. I co-ordinated with various internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
Most recently, I have been assisting in the Accounts department by completing invoicing that needs to be done, communicating with customers about payment amounts and payment dates, as well as making any necessary follow-ups.
Even though I have recently completed my Bachelor of Commerce in Law majoring in HR studies at Eduvos, I do have years of work experience as well as job shadowing experience which can be seen on my CV.
I would describe myself as someone who is hardworking, enthusiastic and a determined person who enjoys pushing boundaries and exploring new adventures. I am always willing to learn new skills and enjoys helping others. Combined with my experience, I believe that I can make a valuable contribution to your organization.
