Finance Manager

An exciting position has become available for a full time Finance Manager to join a friendly team based at the head office in Derby DE12 4TS. Working from home will be available. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary depending on experience. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and driven Finance Professional with the ability to make their ‘mark’ within a growing business. The successful candidate will work closely with the Directors of the business, to help deliver the vision and mission.

Role Requirements

Driven, passionate, business-minded individual who is willing to grow with the business
Ideally having worked in the construction industry before but not essential
A qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
Proactive, self-motivated, and flexible approach to tasks
Sage Experience
Ability to work at pace and autonomously for the most being part of a small Finance Department
Strong IT skills, excel to advanced level
Excellent communication style to manage relationships with key stakeholders
Role Responsibilities

Produce monthly Management Accounts including detailed Work in Progress
Oversee all activities in the Finance Department
Produce reports on project costings, supplier credit, etc.
Produce and maintain all forecasts including cashflow and P&L
Ensure VAT returns are accurately calculated and filed on time for 5 linked businesses
Reconcile Stock allocations with the production team
Prepare information & liaise with the External Auditors
Prepare information for the R&D Claim
Take ownership of the Business Insurances mainly during the renewal process
Liaise with external key stakeholders such as suppliers, credit underwriters, business bank etc.
Implementation and maintenance of internal controls, procedures, and accounting systems
Any other activity deemed appropriate for the success of the Finance Department
