Financial Accountant Callington DB1137 £20-30k Permanent

My client, part of a nationwide group, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their busy Finance Department. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the main purpose of the role is to support the business with detailed financial accounting & for providing information for budgets.

Duties will include:
– Maintaining weekly overheads for weekly accounts
– Preparation of monthly management accounts to strict deadlines, including planning & prioritising workloads
– Involvement in annual budgeting and four year planning processes
– Responsibility for statutory year end reporting: year end work preparation
– Management of the nominal ledger
– Balance sheet, Control Account and Inter-Company reconciliations
– Fixed asset control and reporting
– Stock control

The successful candidate must:
– Be AAT qualified
– Be studying towards, or willing to study towards CIMA/ACCA
– Have demonstrable experience in a similar role
– Have the ability to work under pressure
– Be a proficient Excel user
