Account Handler (Commercial Insurance)

My client is a 100% client focused, market-leading independent insurance brokerage with branches all over the UK, with an emphasis on offering a truly personal and local service to both its Personal Lines and Commercial customers.

They are now looking to grow further their office in central Camberley by recruiting an Account Handler who will be responsible for dealing with incoming enquiries and renewals from Commercial-type customers.

As a Commercial Account Handler you will be looking after all new business enquiries, the majority of which will be from small to medium sized companies. You will also be inviting renewal quotes and following them up to ensure those policies are renewed. Finally you will also be dealing with any policy adjustments for existing customers.

The successful candidate will have the following:

– Experience as a Commercial Insurance Account Handler is preferred, but someone from an Underwriting background and the right level of customer focus will also be considered
– Excellent communication skills with a strong telephone manner
– Enthusiastic with a strong work ethic
– A positive attitude with a genuine desire to work hard and be part of a successful team and company
– A high level of attention to detail
– Good at prioritising and time-management
– A demonstrable record of offering a first class customer experience that has perhaps led to you having business referred to you/your employer as a result
– A pride in your personal appearance and a desire to represent the company in a professional manner at all times
– Ideally your own vehicle so that you can easily travel to visit clients

In return you will be offered a salary of between £26,000and £30k depending on your experience. You will also benefit from a comprehensive initial induction, and continued training and development as you grow within the business. My client will sponsor any candidate who does not currently have their Certificate in Insurance (a Chartered Insurance Institute qualification) and employees are also given the opportunity to go on to study for their Diploma.
