Python Developer – Trainee

Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per year

Our client is a well established and highly reputable online media company who are looking to appoint a Trainee Python Developer. They will be responsible for gathering online data using Python. Data will then be compiled into spreadsheets for use by the sales department. The developer will be responsible for ensuring the data queue is kept up to date and lead times communicated back to sales. Key duties will be as follows:

• Using Python and Webscraper for data acquisition and lead generation
• Interrogating code to investigate web site resistance to Python
• Manipulating data sets using Excel
• Incorporation of Python libraries within different scripts
• Writing Python scripts for automated tasks
• Liaison with sales to ensure they are aware of any data issues
• Meeting data targets and deadlines

In order to carry out this role, candidates should have previous experience in a data gathering role along with knowledge of using web scraping tools and Excel. You should also be a team player, have great communication skills and have a well-rounded knowledge of Python.
